The ULTIMATE Multi-tasking – Immediate Cycle Counts in Dynamics 365 (Part 3 of 3)

What is the easiest count in the warehouse? When the location is empty of course! Using Cycle Count Thresholds in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations not only can work be created as soon as the location is emptied, but it can be assigned to the worker who just emptied it! This can save time and allow empty locations to be confirmed through counting before they have a chance to fill up again. Less steps, more accuracy, budget friendly cycle counts – WIN-WIN-WIN!

A Cycle Count Threshold can be set up to create Cycle Count Work as soon as inventory in a location drops below as specific threshold – either percentage based or specific number based. See “A place for everything and everything in its place… but are you sure? Cycle Counts in Dynamics 365” for more information on setting this up.

Once the Cycle Count Threshold set up, the mobile app can be configured to show the worker Cycle Count work after the threshold is met during the pick.

This worker picked the entire quantity in the location so the next screen was a cycle count in that location.

When presented with the Cycle Count screen the worker can either scan an item if more inventory exists or click on the Hamburger menu on the top right and click Finished to confirm 0.
