Dynamics 365 Human Resources: What’s Here Now and What’s Coming
Earlier this week, the official rebrand of Dynamics 365 Talent to Dynamics 365 Human Resources took effect. While the solution will see features and functionality continuously added and improved upon, it is already a solid base for Microsoft’s HR vision.
To recap some main points of the transition:
- Dynamics 365 Talent Core HR functionality is intact and remains under the new name
- Attract and Onboard modular apps are discontinued (Microsoft Q&A page here)
- Businesses currently using the apps can continue doing so until February 2022
- Microsoft will work with these customers to transition them to LinkedIn Talent solutions
The main new features that have been added to Core HR to make up the newly coined Dynamics 365 Human Resources solution are Advanced Leave & Absence and Advanced Benefits. While part of the new functionality comes from the acquisition of FourVision and Elevate HR solutions, Microsoft most certainly added their own features to accommodate a larger audience of customers.
The new features now available for public preview and coming to GA (general availability) in April 2020 are as follows:
- Create leave rules to meet company and regulatory policies
- Enhanced benefit plan configuration
- Enhanced worker benefit inquiry
- Flex credit programs
- Leave calendar views
- Online benefit enrollment
- Qualified life event processing
